MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Pegasus  is one of 4 racing clubs in the Canterbury Region which are affiliated to the Canterbury Centre, which is in turn affiliated to the National body -  BikeNZ Road & Track. BRT is administered by Bike NZ which issue Licences on behalf of the UCI. To join you can enter at club level (social - non-riders), club licence, centre licence, national licence, or international licence. All licencing is now processed on a single form.

Pegasus Club Membership allows you to be a social member only (which means a non-riding member, unless you possess a licence through another club).

The Bike NZ Club Licence is the lowest level of licencing for riders. It permits you to ride in events organised by Pegasus Cycling ONLY (including CTTA events). It does not permit you to ride in events organised by any other club, nor can you compete in Canterbury Centre Championships or Opens. Other than for CTTA members riding ONLY in the TT events, this is not an option for other members wisihing to licence and compete in local road races.

The next tier of licencing is the Bike NZ Centre Licence. This permits you to ride in ANY event organised by any club within Canterbury Centre, including Opens and Centre Championships

The next step is the Bike NZ National Licence, which permits you to ride any in any event in New Zealand, including National Championships.

Then, if you want to race internationally you can buy or upgrade to the Bike NZ International Licence, which also attracts a compulsory insurance policy (see form for details and premiums)

You may upgrade to Centre, National or International at any time by paying the differential.

Note: If you want to race wearing sponsored gear you need to remember to complete the sponsorship details on the licencing form.
